Marina was born in Yucatan, Mexico and raised in between Merida, Yucatan and Mexico, Missouri. As the daughter of an immigrant herself, Marina was raised in a bicultural and bilingual household.

She graduated with a Law Degree from Anahuac Mayab University in December of 2022 and complemented her studies in human rights and international law in Madrid, Spain.

Marina has always had a passion for helping others and found her true calling in immigration law, where she feels she is able to make a real difference in people’s lives every day. She began working in the field in 2022 and focused mainly on humanitarian law before joining the RKL team in 2023.

In her free time, Marina enjoys watching Gilmore Girls, reading, baking, attending exercise classes and spending time with her dogs.
